The challenge here was to incorporate spontaneous sounds from 90 counsellors and therapists participating in ‘Just For Now’ – an online seminar series hosted by Karen Fried. This musical ritual concluded a session focusing on ways of helping families manage in the wake of COVID-19.

I invited participants from 2 of the 20 countries present to briefly make sound together, using simple percussion and voice. Then the next pair contributed, and so on.

Despite some technological difficulties we were able to establish a joyful sense of connection across continents!

When social distancing can safely be relaxed I look forward to resuming community Lifemusic explorations, working with groups/organisations in the UK face to face.
